“ I went here for my birthday, It was so good. the food was amazing and the cook was so funny! My only complaint would be the restrooms, they smelled awful, and there was so soap. They also add an automatic gratuity when was sad because we were going to tip so much more! Overall an awesome experience and place!! ”
“ came here for my 3 year anniversary because hibachi is our go to. this place was pretty good, however it took a while for someone to start cooking at our table. we were able to order and get appetizers in quick thought. we ordered the eel avocado roll, spider roll (didn't like that one... taste of the crab that wasn't fried was pretty gross) and edamame. got the steak and scallops and it was really good had leftovers that I ate the next day that hit the spot ”
“ We just did table service our first time but the girl said I'll sit you near the hibachi table which was nice. The ambiance was nice inside and was about half stark house and have table regular service. We had a roll some spring rolls and my partner ordered food from the menu a steak dish. Everything was great. We had gift certificates from Christmas but the sushi was top notch and there were two hibachi tables going. Yes looked typical but who doesn't like hibachi now and then. We will be back. ”

“ Great Experience! Wonderful customer service!! From booking a same day reservation to arrival, to our eating experience. It was all AMAZING. We came in Thursday 6/15 we were a party of 8. I called around 4:30pm when they opened and requested to make a reservation for 5:30pm Note you are not able to book online through Opentable, Yelp, or their website you will have to call in. I arrived first with my kids, but was told I had to wait for my complete party to be seated. They were pretty late nonetheless we were seated. Drink orders were taken first, then we ordered apps: 2 orders of Gyoza, (1 pan fried, 1 steamed) cucumber seaweed salad, 2 orders of California rolls. Proteins ordered were : Shrimp, Chicken, Steak, Tofu it was all cooked perfectly noodles were a bit flavorless, but with some added gyoza sauce it was fine. Ambiance was simple, well lit. The restaurant inside looked clean and neat. Our waitress was sweet. After dinner an order for deep fried ice cream was placed as well as regular green tea ice cream. It was a large bowl with many scoops for the regular green tea ice cream. It was delicious! Total for 7 people 1 kid was $344.00 seemed resonable. Disclaimer is that they do not allow you to share, that is a but different from where I am from in CA . However, the 5 stars come into play for CLEANLINESS| Custome Service | Taste of Food| ”
“ We stopped here for sushi and did not try the hibachi table, but it looked and smelled delicious. Inside is nicely decorated and clean. Our server, Amber, was excellent--very attentive and on the ball. We ordered various sushi rolls including the spicy tuna, Yamato roll, Birthday roll, A.J. roll, and Salmon roll. Spicy tuna is my go to roll and was lacking in flavor, but the tuna was fresh and a whole piece (vs minced) which was nice. I had to ask for hot sauce in order to make it spicy, which was disappointing. The other rolls I'm told were very good. My only other nit is that the tea was served with a bag in the cup. My preference is when the tea is brewed and you are served a pot with tea leaves inside. I found this a little surprising considering it is an upscale dining restaurant and the price point of the cup of tea. The house soup, miso soup, and salad were good, but again nothing amazing. Overall I would return to try the hibachi table but will leave the sushi for some of the sushi focused restaurants in the area, of which there are many. ”
“ We had a pleasant experience eating here at Yamato. I came here with a total of party of 11 people and we were seated right away. A buddy of mine came down from Michigan. He and fam and parents camped out near Saint Augustine so finding a happy medium, I suggested Japanese. He has young kids. Put hungry young kids in front of a Hibachi Grill and it will grab their attention. Better yet, put hungry kids in front of a great, entertaining chef and it's game on. We had Edgar as our Chef. He was phenomenal and very engaging...the very best Hibachi grill chef I've encountered. Overall we had a great time. Great service, good food. My only small take away, my noodles were bland.
